Couple accused of vehicle boost while already cruising in a stolen vehicle

19-year-old Joseph Adair and 20-year-old Alexis Binkley were charged with theft of property when it was realized the car they were driving while leaving the scene of another suspected boost, had already been reported stolen.

On February 26th, an officer responded to a suspected attempted vehicle burglary at the Domino’s located at 11362 Lebanon Road in Mount Juliet. The investigating officer reported visual details of a vehicle and persons of interest who had departed the location. According to the affidavit, off duty Mount Juliet Police Officer Drake heard the vehicle description on his way home and discovered a matching vehicle at West Haven Church located at 5860 Lebanon Road in Lebanon.

Officer Drake then conducted a traffic stop and determined the driver to be Alexis Binkley and Joseph Adair to be the passenger. Research of the tags disclosed that the vehicle was in fact reported stolen and entered into the Davidson County law enforcement database on February 20th.

Joseph Adair and Alexis Binkley were arrested and charged with theft of property. Joseph Adair is currently jailed in lieu of $3,500 bond. Alexis Binkley was later released on her own recognizance.
