Schmidt could not respond to questions and had marks consistent with intravenous drug use visible on his arm. Passenger Madison Neely advised the officer that Schmidt had just “shot up” heroin. Darrin Schmidt has a previous DUI in Maury County which removed his right to drive.

Darrin Schmidt was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and revoked driver’s license. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $2,500 bond.
