43-year-old Jose Robledo was charged with domestic assault when his stepdaughter was filming an argument between him and her mom and he punched her trying to grab the device.
On May 18th, Mt. Juliet Officer Clark investigated a domestic incident at 2041 Stonebrook Circle. According to the affidavit, a juvenile witness told officers that she was recording a confrontation between Leticia Desouza and Jose Robledo when he grabbed at her phone and punched her in the face.
Desouza claimed that Robledo jumped into the back of the vehicle she was driving and that she had instructed the juvenile to record because of past incidents. Robledo denied making contact when grabbing at the phone and officers determined him to be the aggressor from the recording.
Jose Robledo was arrested and charged with domestic assault. He was later released on his own recognizance.
