Mt. Juliet man jailed after fleeing from police and trying to hide under a table in a restaurant

25-year-old Dillon Hunt was charged with assault and evading arrest when he was noticed by an officer standing outside a Waffle House in Mt. Juliet and when approached he ran off and attempted to hide under a table in Buffalo Wild Wings.

On April 24th, Sergeant DeRiggi observed a man at the Waffle House located at 326 South Mount Juliet Road. He began trekking toward a nearby gas station wearing a bookbag. According to the affidavits, when the officer approached Dillon Hunt to speak with him he “became nervous.”

The officer reported that when he asked Hunt if he could put the bookbag down he dropped it, bolted into Buffalo Wild Wings and proceeded to hide under a table. BWW’s employee Nicole Scragg told hunt to leave and he promptly shoved her fleeing out the restaurant’s back door. When Dillon Hunt was finally apprehended it was discovered he was wanted in Williamson County.

Dillon Hunt was arrested and charged with assault and evading arrest. His bond was set at $2,000.
