Newly revealed information from affidavit, 31-year-old Richard Muzick had a rifle brandished against him by residents of the home he tried to burgle.
On April 26th, at 1903 Dunedin Drive MJPD officer responded to a possible burglary when Jessica Mason stated that someone had invaded her home without permission. Richard Muzick was described wearing a gorilla costume and asked Mason’s 6-year-old daughter where to find a person named Valerie.
No Valerie lives in the residence. Mason saw him in the backyard after he left the home when her boyfriend Jesse Coleman, who lives at the residence, brandished a rifle and approached Muzick scaring him away. Muzick was later picked up by police at 3800 Portsmouth Drive.
Richard Muzick was charged and arrested for aggravated burglary. He was later released on his own recognizance.
