Woman punches boyfriend, kicks him in genitalia; then violates conditions of release

41-year-old Melissa Maynard was charged with domestic assault when she told officers she punched her boyfriend in the face during an argument and her boyfriend also reported that she kicked him in the testicles. A few days later, she was charged for violating her conditions of release by going back onto the property.

On April 25th, Wilson County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Chris Keyes responded to a domestic incident at 1809 Burford Road. According to the affidavit, Melissa Maynard told the officers that she and her boyfriend Wendell Milliken were arguing and she had punched him in the face. Mr. Milliken also advised she had kicked him in his testicles.

On April 28th, officers were again dispatched to 1809 Burford Road in reference to an unwanted person on the property. Wendell reported that Melissa just left the property in her vehicle and advised them of their previous altercation that resulted in active bond conditions for her. Officer Denson stated that he was able to make contact with Melissa at an area close to the address, where Melissa admitted to being at the residence all day and that she left her cell phone there.

On April 26th, Melissa Maynard was arrested and charged for domestic assault. On April 28th, she was arrested and charged for violating her conditions of release. She was later released on her own recognizance.
