Lebanon teen charged for DUI and underage consumption after trip to McDonald’s

18-year-old Cooper Wayne Retzke was charged with driving under the influence and underage consumption when an officer followed him from a McDonald’s and observed his vehicle swerving. He also exhibited impairment in field sobriety tests.

On April 26th, Lebanon Police Officer Travis Rourke received a report of a reckless driver on the interstate and he noticed a vehicle matching the description at a McDonald’s drive-through. After observing the vehicle swerving out of the lane and speeding he stopped it at 329 North Cumberland Street.

Driver Cooper Wayne Retzke was found to be 18 years old and visibly exhibited signs of impairment as well as in field sobriety tests. Beer bottles were also located in the vehicle.

Cooper Wayne Retzke was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and underage consumption. His bond was set at $1,500.
