Argument with baby’s mother ends in broken windshield and vandalism charge

24-year-old Quajonta Cason was charged with vandalism of a car windshield after an argument with his baby’s mother turned violent. Cason allegedly struck the windshield with his backpack after being told to leave and denying him access to her vehicle.

On May 24th, a verbal altercation arose between Lyric Crudup and Quajonta Cason. Crudup eventually asked Cason to leave, creating a response of anger by Cason. Crudup vacated the premises, to which Cason followed. Cason proceeded to claim that there was an item within Crudup’s vehicle that belonged to him.

After denying him access to the car’s interior, Cason flung his backpack and struck the vehicle’s windshield in the process. The strike from the backpack shattered the windshield. The cost of the windshield’s repair was estimated at $201.01. A warrant for Cason’s arrest was issued on May 29th.

On June 1st, Quajonta Cason was arrested and charged with vandalism. He was later released on his own recognizance.
