Broke Lebanon man gets upset when Murphy USA employee makes him pay

41-year-old Steven Hill was charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct when he cussed and yelled at Murphy USA employees because they would not allow him to get items without paying, per report.

On June 2nd, at 603 South Cumberland (Murphy Oil) police were notified of an intoxicated man yelling at employees, this man was later identified as Steven Hill. Officers said that they saw Hill leaning against the wall with a hat and sunglasses on unsteadily and that he smelled of alcohol.

When he was asked to remove his sunglasses police described his eyes to be red and watery, plus his speech was slurred when he was speaking to the officer. Martha Rodgers, a store employee, said that he entered the store and said that he has no money but needs help. When they told him that he would receive what he wanted if he could pay for it he began cursing and yelling at the employees.

Steven Hill was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication. He was later released on his own recognizance.
