Lebanon man charged after being told to stop contacting ex and immediately called again

46-year-old Everett Whitfield was charged with harassment when a woman he started dating in September told authorities he was incessantly calling and spoke to her in a threatening manner. He immediately contacted her twice after an officer told him to stop.

On June 20th, according to an affidavit, Belinda Beard told Wilson County Deputy Austin Hite that a man she had been dating since September was harassing her. She advised that Everett Whitfield had called her around fifty times and swung by her house three times this week alone.

Whitfield did not stop or leave her be when she asked him to. Deputy Hite also told Whitfield to cease the contact twice and he immediately contacted her again. Beard said he calls and texts at all hours and she feels threatened and afraid because of his temper.

Everett Whitfield was arrested and charged with harassment. His bond was set at $2,000.
