Lebanon woman found with several drugs after she caused a man to overdose

32-year-old Vanessa Candelaria was charged with possession of heroin for resale, three counts of simple drug possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia after she gave Michael Bridges Jr heroin which caused him to overdose. She was also found to be hiding several drugs in a tin lunchbox in a friend’s dresser that contained marijuana, Adderall, Xanax, and heroin.

On June 12th, Officer Carrillo arrived at 314-A Hill Street in response to a drug overdose. The officer found that the defendant, Vanessa Candelaria, served the victim of the overdose, Michael Bridges Jr, heroin. Candelaria took a black lunchbox in a white bag over to Debra Peach’s house and hid it in the master bedroom. Several items of paraphernalia were visible outside the home of Hill Street, Officer Carrillo reported, after conducting a traffic stop on Candelaria in reference to the overdose and bringing her back to the scene.

Sgt Harvey questioned Peach who told him exactly where Candelaria hid the lunchbox inside her home. After she gave them consent to search the home police found two pills of Adderall, 7 bars of Xanax, two baggies containing three grams of heroin, and fourteen grams of marijuana as well as three digital scales. Candelaria could not produce any prescriptions for any of the drugs found in the box.

Vanessa Candelaria was arrested and charged with possession of heroin for resale, three counts of simple drug possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $60,000.
