Mt. Juliet man jailed after his minor ex-girlfriend said he held her at gunpoint for 17 hours

18-year-old Travis Hollis was charged with interference with emergency calls, aggravated domestic assault, and especially aggravated kidnapping when he held his 17-year-old ex-girlfriend at gunpoint in his apartment for 17 hours.

On May 24th and 25th, Travis Hollis isolated his minor ex-girlfriend in his apartment at 413 Willow Creek Drive for seventeen hours. Mt. Juliet Police Detective Watkins investigated and determined that Hollis asked his 17-year-old ex to come to his domicile to talk about their fresh break up.

She refused to reconcile, prompting Hollis to produce a handgun and declare he would harm himself. When the girl attempted to leave, he turned the weapon on her and tossed her phone in water to stop her from calling the police. He threatened to kill everyone in the apartment if she cried out for help. She was held against her will, seventeen hours, until convincing him to free her.

Travis Hollis was arrested and charged with especially aggravated kidnapping, aggravated assault, and interference with emergency calls. His bond was set at $80,000.
