Night at Jonathan’s ends in car crash and DUI for Lebanon driver

60-year-old Joey Odom was charged with driving under the influence after crashing his vehicle on Westfield Drive and later admitted to police he had been drinking at Jonathan’s Grille earlier that evening.

On May 23rd, Trooper DeWunya Topps received a call regarding a vehicle crash on Westfield Drive. After Topps’ arrival to the scene, the driver of the vehicle was identified as Joey Odom. According to the affidavit, Odom’s eyes had a red appearance, his speech was slurred, his stance was unbalanced and he emitted a strong alcoholic scent from his breath and person. Odom later confessed to drinking throughout the evening at Jonathan’s, per report.

Trooper Topps proceeded to administer multiple field sobriety tests, to which Odom showed signs of inebriation throughout. The trooper added that Odom had trouble following orders that were given.

Joey Odom was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. He was later released on his own recognizance.
