Virginia woman charged with theft after scanning wrong barcodes at Lebanon Walmart

39-year-old Andria Sauer was charged with theft of merchandise when a loss prevention employee observed her scanning incorrect bar codes at Walmart in Lebanon.

On June 14th, Lebanon Police Officer Rusbridge was called to the Walmart located at 615 South Cumberland in regard to a shoplifter. According to the affidavit, loss prevention associate Amanda Sims told authorities that Andria Sauer had selected merchandise and while participating in self-checkout was scanning the incorrect bar codes intentionally.

The officer noted that Sauer admitted to the activity and security footage also corroborated the allegations. The value of the merchandise pilfered was $94.34.

Andria Sauer was arrested and charged with theft of merchandise. She was later released on her own recognizance.
