Waffle House loiterer later found with heroin and an open needle

27-year-old Brendan Beninati was charged with public intoxication, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of heroin after being reported for acting disorderly at a Mt. Juliet Waffle House.

On June 8th, Officer Wiley was dispatched to the Waffle House located on 236 S Mt. Juliet Rd in regards to a potential disorderly individual. When arriving at the scene, Wiley met with Brendan Beninati. According to the affidavit, law enforcement noted that Beninati’s eyes appeared to be enlarged.

Beninati was also reportedly failing to pay attention and had trouble remaining awake while with the officer. Wiley proceeded to obtain Beninati’s identification from his vehicle, to which he discovered an opened needle. Further investigation of Beninati’s wallet revealed a small bag of a substance similar to heroin falling out of the billfold.

Brendan Beninati was arrested and charged with public intoxication, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of heroin. He was later released on his own recognizance.
