55-year-old Gregory Barrett was charged with driving under the influence after passing out behind the wheel at the Jimmy Floyd Family Center. Law enforcement later discovered two open bottles of Skol Vodka inside his vehicle.
On June 10th, an officer noticed a vehicle with the engine on while stationary at the Jimmy Floyd Family Center. As law enforcement approached the vehicle, the operator was found to be asleep with the engine running. According to the affidavit, the driver, who was later identified as Gregory Barrett, appeared to have watery, red eyes, spoke in a slurred manner of speech, and emitted the scent of alcohol from his breath and person.
When the officers questioned the man if he had been drinking, Barrett confessed to having consumed vodka. The officer proceeded to administer field sobriety tests. Following Barrett’s initial performance on the task, the man informed law enforcement that he was incapable of continuing. The officer later noted two open bottles of Skol Vodka inside the vehicle, per report. Further investigation revealed that Barrett was released from custody on May 5th after posting bond on a DUI charge in Trousdale County.
Gregory Barrett was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. His bond was set at $2,500.
