Intoxicated man punches and strangles girlfriend at Executive Inn

24-year-old Corey Younker was charged with aggravated assault when his girlfriend told police they were in an argument and he punched her in the face and strangled her, per report.

On July 2nd, a possible domestic call led officers to the Executive Inn located at 631 South Cumberland. Contact was made with the defendant, Corey Younker, who said that his girlfriend, Jillian Bearden bit him on the arm.

The officer noted in the report there were visible bite marks on his forearm. Bearden said they were in a verbal altercation when Younker started punching her in the face. As she put her arm up to block the punches, he put his arm around her neck and started squeezing. The police reported there was redness and swelling on Bearden’s face and arm.

Corey Younker was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. His bond was set at $7,500.
