Lebanon woman found with meth in purse during traffic stop

37-year-old Miranda Howell was charged with possession of methamphetamine after discovering a plastic bag containing the stimulant alongside multiple redistribution bags inside her purse following a traffic stop on the ramp of Interstate 40.

On June 25th, law enforcement observed a vehicle with a light law violation exiting the Travel Inn in Lebanon. Officers proceeded to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle at the entry ramp of I-40. Upon approach to the vehicle, the driver was identified as Miranda Howell.

Following Howell’s consent to search the vehicle, a plastic bag was discovered in the woman’s purse. According to the affidavit, the bag presumably contained methamphetamine. Additionally recovered during the search were bags used for redistribution of narcotics.

Miranda Howell was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine. She was released from WCSO custody on July 1st.
