Homeless man violates bond conditions by assaulting woman at Discount Tobacco Outlet

57-year-old George Snider was charged with public intoxication, aggravated assault, and violating his conditions of release when he pushed a woman to the ground at the Discount Tobacco Outlet in Lebanon.

On August 12th, an officer was called to the area of a Discount Tobacco Outlet located at 735 North Cumberland in Lebanon for a domestic assault in progress. When the officer arrived, he identified George Snider and Anita Rutland as the parties involved. The officer also stated he had prior knowledge of Rutland being the protected party from Snider according to his bond conditions.

Snider appeared to have red watery eyes, slurred speech and he smelled of alcohol. Rutland stated an argument between the two began to brew when Snider threw her phone and broke it. Shortly after, Snider pushed Rutland to the ground multiple times. The officer on the scene observed scrapes on Rutland’s right leg and both elbows. Snider was declared the primary aggressor.

George Snider was arrested and charged with public intoxication, aggravated assault, and violating his conditions of release. He is currently jailed without bond.
