Anonymous caller reports men returning to scene of traffic stop to retrieve discarded narcotics

40-year-old John Roberts was charged with possession of methamphetamine and tampering with evidence after returning to Bank Shot Billiards to find meth which he had thrown out the window during a traffic stop.

On September 5th, Wilson County Sheriffs Officer Jordon made a traffic stop at Bank Shot Billiards (Smittys Bar and Grill) at 1960 Murfreesboro Road. He issued a citation for drug paraphernalia. An anonymous caller contacted Wilson County Sheriffs Department dispatch to notify the police that the car had returned. The caller said that two males were walking around the parking lot who seemed to be looking for something.

They then mentioned that after the two males left, he went to the parking lot and found a bag of white powder substance that they believed to be Methamphetamine. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the anonymous caller and received the bag of a white substance. After reviewing the patrol car video, the passenger, identified as John Roberts, threw a small bag out his window. Eric Denson, the driver of the vehicle. Eric Denson was also charged with possession of methamphetamine and tampering with evidence.
