Angry woman heard on video, dry fires gun while arguing with boyfriend

47-year-old Jamie Sutherland was charged with aggravated domestic assault when she dry fired a gun after drinking and arguing with her boyfriend.

On October 3rd, Wilson County Sheriff’s Deputy Chris Conner responded to a domestic assault involving a gun at 129 Cherokee Dock Road in Lebanon. Upon arrival, Deputy Conner made contact with Kenneth Nelson III and Jamie Sutherland, Nelson’s girlfriend.

Nelson stated that he and Sutherland both became angry and started yelling at one another after they had been drinking. Sutherland obtained a gun and was heard on a video dry firing the weapon during the argument. Deputy Conner reported that Nelson had red scratches on his neck.

Jamie Sutherland was arrested and charged with aggravated domestic assault. She was released on a $7,500 bond.
