Man admits he was prowling for money at Import Auto Repair

47-year-old Jeffery Neal was charged with criminal attempt after he admitted to police that he was checking cars for money at Import Auto Repair.

On September 23rd, Mena Hanna from Import Auto Repair located at 108 West Spring Street called Lebanon Police for a possible burglary in progress. Upon arrival, Officer Polston spoke to Hanna who stated that he saw a black man wearing a black hoodie that was looking in cars at his business. The man saw Hanna watching him and he took off running and left his bicycle behind.

Officer Polston found the subject close by and identified him as Jeffrey Neal. Neal admitted that he was prowling and looking in cars for money. Neal said that all the car doors he checked were locked.

Jeffery Neal was arrested and charged with criminal attempt for burglary. His bond was set at $5,000.
