18-year-old Jackson Newman was charged with reckless driving and evading arrest after he drove 30 miles per hour over the speed limit and attempted to outdrive a deputy.
On October 22nd, Wilson County Sheriff’s Deputy Harvey reported a speeding driver, Jackson Newman, on Coles Ferry Pike in Lebanon. The deputy noted the vehicle was going 75 miles per hour (MPH) in a 45 MPH zone.
When Deputy Harvey turned on the lights for the patrol car, Newman accelerated, speeding away from him. Deputy Harvey advised he was directed by fellow drivers to Cairo Bend Road, where he apprehended Newman.
Jackson Newman was arrested and charged with reckless driving and evading arrest. He was later released on a $3,000 bond.
