Woman admits to taking her meds and drinking before driving; charged with DUI

38-year-old Elizabeth Pulley was charged with DUI when she reportedly struck a mailbox and continued to drive down Five Oaks Boulevard in Lebanon.

On October 23rd, Lebanon Police Officer Gilley was dispatched to a complaint call for a possible impaired driver. Officer Gilley arrived at Five Oaks Boulevard to find Elizabeth Pulley standing behind the car in the road. Elizabeth Pulley had slurred speech, pinpoint pupils, and unsteady on her feet according to the police report. Officer Gilley asked Pulley to complete three field sobriety tasks which resulted in signs of impairment on all tasks. Pulley consented to provide the officer with a blood sample.

The police report stated that Pulley admitted to Officer Gilley that she took her prescribed medication approximately three to four hours prior. She went on to say that she consumed an alcoholic beverage approximately an hour before speaking with Officer Gilley. During booking at the Wilson County Jail, two red tablets, not prescribed to the defendant, were mixed in with Pulley’s prescribed medications.

Elizabeth Pulley was arrested and charged with 1st offense of driving under the influence and simple drug possession. Pulley was later released on her recognizance.
