Woman found with brass knuckles during booking for theft and DUI charges

35-year-old Stacy Rinehart was charged with theft of property, DUI, introduction of a weapon into a penal institution, and possession of a prohibited weapon after she wrecked a stolen Ford F-150 on Sparta Pike in Watertown.

On October 31st, Tennessee Highway Patrol Joseph Chery was dispatched to a residence located at 5455 Sparta Pike in Watertown. Stacy Rinehart was involved in a crash when she was driving a 2004 Ford F-150 that was reported stolen out of Putnam County that same day. According to the affidavit, she was lethargic and incoherent when she was transported to Vanderbilt Wilson Hospital for treatment.

Trooper Chery stated that Rinehart appeared to be drug impaired due to her extremely small pupils. Rinehart showed signs of impairment on a modified standardized field sobriety test. Rinehart admitted to Trooper Chery that she had taken some heroin or meth before driving.

After being released from the hospital, Trooper Chery arrested Rinehart and transported her to Wilson County Jail. Deputy Amanda Baliel asked Rinehart if she had any contraband to which Rinehart replied “no”. The deputy patted Rinehart down and found in her jacket pocket a black set of brass knuckles.

Stacy Rinehart was arrested and charged with theft of property, DUI, introduction of a weapon into a penal institution, and possession of a prohibited weapon. She is currently jailed in lieu of a $7,000 bond.
