42-year-old Elizabeth Barfield was charged with public intoxication, criminal trespassing, and resisting arrest after she went back to a RaceTrac she previously trespassed and spun away from the police to avoid being arrested.
On December 7th, Lebanon Police Officer Martin responded to a report of an intoxicated and disorderly woman at the RaceTrac on 405 South Cumberland Street. Upon arrival, the officer identified Elizabeth Barfield, who has previously trespassed and was ordered to stay off the property on November 27th.
Officer Martin stated Barfield smelled strongly of alcohol and was holding a mug that appeared to contain beer inside. When he attempted to arrest her, she refused to cooperate and spun away, flailing her arms and violently struggling with the officer.
Elizabeth Barfield was arrested and charged with public intoxication, criminal trespassing, and resisting arrest. She is currently jailed in lieu of a $1,000 bond.
