Woman charged after screaming at customers for money at gas station

42-year-old Elizabeth Barfield was charged with public intoxication after she chased customers at RaceTrac and screamed at them, asking for money.

On November 28th, Lebanon Police Officer Jordan Martin arrived at RaceTrac, located at 405 South Cumberland Street, in response to a woman screaming at other patrons. It was reported that the woman, Elizabeth Barfield, was chasing customers, screaming and asking them for money.

Kevin Elliott advised that he called because she was intoxicated and disorderly. He stated that Barfield kept approaching him and refused to leave him alone after he repeatedly told her to get away from him. Officer Martin noted that she smelled of alcohol, and he arrested her for everyone’s safety.

Elizabeth Barfield was arrested and charged with public intoxication. She was later released on her own recognizance.
