Inebriated woman “possibly” hits patrol vehicle before driving down embankment

39-year-old Jennifer Schnell was charged with driving under the influence after she “possibly” hit a patrol car and admitted to drinking after she drove her car over a parking curb, per report.

On November 28th, Mt. Juliet Police Officer Austin Myers reported a vehicle exit its parking spot and possibly hit his patrol car as he was assisting other officers at Kat’s Bar and Grille, located at 2037 North Mt Juliet Road. According to the report, the driver, Jennifer Schnell, drove over the parking curb and across the grass to the street.

Officer Myers attempted a traffic stop on Second Avenue, where the car turned and shut off. Officer Myers stated Schnell exited her vehicle and began walking towards the nearby townhouses, and when he called out to her, she went back to the patrol cars. She admitted she had three or four drinks “a while ago” and performed poorly on all the sobriety tests offered.

Jennifer Schnell was arrested and charged with DUI. She was released on her own recognizance.
