Man charged after officers find glass pipe in his pocket

54-year-old Shareef Shaheed was charged with DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia after he was reported drunk at a Speedway gas station and carried a glass pipe in his jacket.

On November 21st, Lebanon Police Officer Humes arrived at Speedway, located at 610 North Cumberland Street, in response to a welfare check of a possibly intoxicated person. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with a male in a blue jacket identified as Shareef Shaheed.

Shaheed smelled strongly of alcohol and exhibited signs of intoxication, such as slurred speech and unsteady feet. Officer Humes then initiated a search, which revealed a glass pipe in the front pocket of Shaheed’s jacket.

Shareef Shaheed was arrested and charged with DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on his own recognizance.
