Watertown Vice Mayor caught with cocaine, meth, and marijuana during traffic stop

57-year-old Brandon Howard was charged with possession of marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and tampering with evidence after he was pulled over in Lebanon for an expired temporary tag.

On December 10th, Lebanon Police Department Sergeant Scott was on a routine patrol in the area of Briskin Lane and Cainsville Road when he observed a vehicle traveling with an expired temporary license plate. Sgt. Scott activated his lights and siren to get the driver to pull over, but Brandon Howard continued to drive. After some time, he eventually came to a stop.

According to the report, Sgt. Scott made contact with him and smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. He also observed a bag with a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana in the center of the seat. A search produced an additional baggy of four grams of the same green leafy substance, a baggy with one gram of a white powdery substance that Brandon admitted to being cocaine, a plastic baggy with approximately three-tenths of a gram of a clear, crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine, two glass pipes, and Brillo pads.

A search of Brandon’s person produced a burnt Brillo pad, which is commonly used as a filter when using illegal drugs. After he was read his Miranda Rights, Brandon admitted to concealing the drugs before the traffic stop.

Brandon is currently the vice mayor of Watertown, Tennessee.

Brandon Howard was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and tampering with evidence. He was later released on a $4,000 bond.
