Watertown woman charged with possession after police find her “talking out of her head”

38-year-old Shana Shahan was charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia after police were dispatched and they discovered a pipe with marijuana residue and two plastic bags containing methamphetamine in her purse.

On April 6th, officers were dispatched to 2304 Rocky Branch Road in reference to a disorderly person. When officers arrived, contact was made with Shana Shahan. Officers noted Shana was disoriented, didn’t know what day it was, and was “talking out of her head”, per the affidavit.

Officers also noted that in plain sight they observed a pipe containing marijuana residue. As police were giving WEMA her identification that was located inside her purse, they also discovered two blue plastic bags containing a crystal-like substance that was believed to be methamphetamine.

Shana Shahan was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $1,000.
