Love knows no limits: Homeless man jailed for domestic dispute

56-year-old George Snider was charged with violating conditions of his release at the Discount Tobacco on 735 N. Cumberland in Lebanon. Snider’s charges come via a domestic dispute at the smoke shop.

On May 20th, Officer Polston received a call regarding a possible domestic dispute at the Discount Tobacco located at 735 N. Cumberland in Lebanon. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with the male and female in the alleged dispute, later identified as George Snider and Anita Ruthland, respectively. Both Snider and Ruthland denied any assault occurring.

After speaking to both parties, the officer ran a computer check revealing active bond conditions for Snider from a separate occasion of domestic assault. The conditions were signed in July 2019 and April 2020 stating that Snider is not to be near Ruthland. Because of the failure to comply with the aforementioned conditions, he was jailed in Wilson County.

George Snider was arrested and charged with violating his conditions of release. He was later released on his own recognizance.
