Goodlettsville man steals Audi A8, gets caught speeding on I-40 West

26-year-old Patrick Hawks was charged with theft of property amounting over $10,000 and driving on a revoked license after a speeding violation on Interstate 40 West revealed that Hawks was driving a stolen Audi A8 valued at $36,000.

On June 1st, Trooper Hart of the Tennessee Highway Patrol noted that while using a stationary radar on I-40 West, a blue 2017 Audi A8 was traveling faster than the posted speed limit. Hart stated that the vehicle was moving at 93 miles per hour in a 70 MPH posted zone. Hart proceeded to pull over the Audi for a traffic stop. When asked for license and registration, the driver, later identified as Patrick Hawks, admitted to not having a valid license, handing the officer an identification only license instead.

The vehicle’s value was estimated at $36,000.
