Watertown man charged after cell phone video shows him sexually abusing 2-year-old girl

36-year-old Edward Kuiper was charged with aggravated rape of a child and convicted felon in possession of a firearm after a woman found a cell phone video of him sexually abusing her 2-year-old daughter.

On April 9th, detectives executed a search warrant on Edward Kuiper’s home at 990 South Commerce Road in Watertown. During the search, they discovered a Springfield XD .40 caliber handgun in his bedroom. According to the affidavit, Edward is a convicted felon.

Police were called because the prior night, Crystal McLemore found Edward’s cell phone unlocked and when he fell asleep, she took the memory card out of his phone and put it in hers. She then found a video of her two-year-old daughter on his couch and saw him “remove her underwear and penetrate her vagina with two fingers”, per the report. Crystal also reported there were several other pornographic videos and pictures on Edward’s memory card that seemed to involve juveniles.

Edward Kuiper was arrested and charged with aggravated rape of a child and convicted felon in possession of a firearm. His bond was set at $505,000.
