Repeat offender charged with public intoxication

39-year-old Steven Purkerson was charged with public intoxication when a Quik Stop employee reported a disorderly person.

On September 3rd, Lebanon Police Officer Humes responded to Quik Stop located at 506 W. Main Street in Lebanon, TN regarding a report of a disorderly person. When the officer arrived, she observed the described male, Steven Purkerson, stumbling on the sidewalk near North Tarver Avenue and Moss Court.

Officer Humes made contact with Purkerson and noted he had extremely slurred speech, was unsteady on his feet, and unable to communicate with the officer. Officer Hume placed Purkerson in custody for his safety and the safety of the public.

Steven Purkerson was arrested and charged with public intoxication. He was released on his own recognizance.
