Man tells police that there is meth, weed, and gun in his Travel Inn hotel room

37-year-old Brooks Harrison Thomas was charged with possession of meth, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, hydrocodone, Xanax, heroin, a weapon, and parole violation after he told police that he had drugs in his hotel room but his roommate would not let them in to search.

On October 22nd, Lebanon Police Officer Bates responded to a call of suspicious activity coming from room 251 at the Travel Inn, located at 914 Murfreesboro Road. Officers arrived and made contact with the leaseholder, Jessica Burton, and her roommate, Brooks Harrison Thomas. He told police there was a gun, methamphetamine, and marijuana in the room.

When officers asked them permission to search the room, Burton denied them entry several times. Officers then obtained a search warrant. In the search, officers found pills that were identified as hydrocodone and Xanax. They also discovered meth, marijuana, a pistol, three pipes, rolling papers, three scales, 30 plastic baggies, and a silver container with what they believed to be heroin inside.

Brooks Thomas was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, hydrocodone, Xanax, heroin, a weapon during the commission of a felony, and parole violation. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $22,000 bond.
