Drive-Thru DUI: Woman charged after altercation in McDonald’s drive-thru line — Shelby Marie Anderson

24-year-old Shelby Marie Anderson is charged with DUI after an off-duty officer observed her get into an altercation with another individual while she was in the drive-thru line at McDonald’s on S. Cumberland in Lebanon.

ARREST WARRANT / AFFIDAVIT:
On 8-15-2021 @ 2:17 AM, I Cpl. Ariel Carrillo responded to 705 S. Cumberland St, McDonald’s, in reference to disorderly subjects, called in by McDonald’s personnel. Upon arrival, off-duty LPD Officer S. Muncy was present and did advise a possibly intoxicated female was in the drive-thru line involved in an altercation with an unknown subject.

Upon contact with the female, who at this time had parked in a parking spot and was standing outside her vehicle, I did observe her to be unsteady on foot, have slurred speech, and red watery eyes. The female, identified as Shelby Marie Anderson TN D.L. ########, was offered and given three standardized field sobriety tests in which signs of impairment were shown.

Anderson was placed into custody and read implied consent, to which she gave consent. A blood draw was performed at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital and she was then transported to the Wilson County Jail. Ms. Anderson is charged with Driving Under the Influence, TCA 55-10-401. This did occur in Lebanon, Wilson County Tennessee.
